History

Colin Ward Funeral Services, a Family run business, opened its doors in December 1999.

IIn the summer of 2002, after helping Colin out during his final Summer holidays at school, Son Ian joined to pursue his interest in the business and elder Son Mark, three years later.

There was a change of premises in 2003 from 28 to 14 Boston Road and in 2004 building work began to accommodate two new extensions which would provide extra garaging and workspace.

In the summer of 2012, on retiring from teaching, Colin’s wife Lynne starts work as a receptionist and two years later Michelle, Ian’s wife, joins her in the office.

Colin is eager to stress that, the bigger the firm grows:

“We will never, ever compromise our high standards, and our clients always come first. Our aim is to provide the sort of dignity and care we would give our own family. Indeed, this firm is rooted in Family values”
