Funeral Costs
Prices Correct at 1st May 2022.
Our aim is to ensure that every funeral is arranged and carried out exactly as the family would wish, down to the smallest detail.
Therefore, costings may vary, but we appreciate that most people have a budget to work with.
Please note that funeral costs comprise of two parts, our professional charges and disbursements, which are payments made to third parties on the client’s behalf.
Here are examples of our most popular services and the costings for each one:
Cremation at Lincoln Crematorium, York coffin
- Our professional services, including removal, care and preparation of the deceased, provision of oak veneered coffin, viewing at our Chapel of Rest, provision of hearse and all bearers. £2080.00
- Disbursements including: Doctor’s Fee (required for cremation), celebrant/vicar’s fee, Cremation at Lincoln Crematorium. £1282.00
- TOTAL COST: £3362.00
Cremation at Grantham, York coffin
- Our professional services, including removal, care and preparation of the deceased, provision of oak veneered coffin, viewing at our Chapel of Rest, provision of hearse and all bearers. £2080.00
- Disbursements including: Doctor’s Fee (required for cremation), celebrant/vicar’s fee, Cremation at Grantham Crematorium. £1512.00
- TOTAL COST: £3592.00
Direct Cremation
This is our least expensive option, but please be assured that our high standards will not be compromised with this service. We will transport your loved one in our hearse to the crematorium and they will be afforded exactly the same amount of care and dignity we would usually give. You may collect the cremated remains from our office and may wish to hold a memorial service at a later date.
Please note that there are certain restrictions on this service as follows:
- There will be no ceremony at the crematorium and no mourners are to attend.
- No viewing at our Chapel of Rest.
- Full payment of funeral cost at least 7 days prior to the funeral.
- TOTAL COST (including our charges and disbursements): £2121.00
Burials
The cost of a burial varies considerably, depending on whether or not the person is a resident or a non-resident of the area and whether a plot has been pre-purchased. Our professional charges are as above, but please contact us for more precise costings with your particular requirements.
Other prices, including hire of limousines, church service preceding or following cremation, press notices, Orders of Service, interment of cremated remains, graveside only service, services at other crematoria are available. Please contact us for details.
